Made with Many organised the 'Family Arts Festival' which included artists, activities, music and more with the event being officially opened by Fatima Whitbread.
The day ran from 10am - 4pm and included a traditional parade. The theme for the day was rainbow so attendees were asked to wear their brightest colour's for the parade.
People were asked to bring their memorabilia to be included in the creation of their heritage project which also provided everyone the opportunity to connect with old colleagues and reminisce.
Made with Many are asking if you attended, they would really appreciate it if you could fill out the audience survey via the link below, as this helps us to keep events like this free and find more investment for arts and family activities. https://uk.culturecounts.cc/s/3pWxph/splash

Seagrave House Care Home - Avery in Bloom competition
Seagrave Residents started planning and preparing their entry for the Avery in Bloom competition back in April and it was decided we would create a miniture garden fit for a king!
A beautiful garden has been created from scratch complete with strawberry fields, vegetable patch, garden pond and flowers have been carefully selected to create a red white and blue garden with a garden path running through the centre.
Residents have enjoyed this project with Richard taking charge and looking after it daily also encouraging residents to join in.
At the open evening, Mayor Buckingham went along to open the miniature garden for viewing and stayed to chat with residents and visitors.
Mayor Buckingham said "Walking into Avery Corby really felt like home. Having worked in adult social care in the past, I was pleasantly surprised to see how this facility presented. The decor was fresh and not clinical in the slightest. Walking out into the garden which was in full bloom was amazing. Beautifully kept and the crowning glory of the garden fit for a king made the experience as a visitor all the sweeter. The staff were warm and welcoming, treating everyone like friends. The residents were so proud to share their home with me. I enjoyed speaking with many on the day and I look forward to returning for a cup of tea again"
We think you will agree Residents have done an amazing job and we are sure they have a great chance of winning this years Avery in Bloom!

Corby Town FC - Cheque presentation - Wednesday 16th August 2023
On Wednesday 16th August, Mayor Leanne Buckingham along with other town councillors, presented Corby Town FC with a cheque for £2k after they were awarded a community grant to purchase equipment and aid with initial running costs to supply the community of Corby with well organised walking football.
This provides men and woman over the age of 50 in Corby to have safe exercise within a social environment. Not only does it provide participation for old footballers, walking football is recommended in some instances by the NHS in aiding people who are recovering from long term ailments and injuries.
