Terracycle at Beanfield

A Terracycle box has been set up at Beanfield Community Centre in a trial initative funded by Corby Town Council.

Making more use of hard-to-recycle items is the aim – and in the case of the box at the Beanfield Centre people from across town are able to leave crisp packets, snack packaging and sweet wrappers that will be eventually collected for recycling.

Chair of the Environment Committee, Cllr Alison Dalziel, said: “The committee are keen to get involved in community recycling initiatives and grateful to Beanfield Community Centre for hosting our first box. We are hoping to grow the initiative further”.
