Corby Pride 2024
Thank You for your support for Corby Pride 2024!
Colour and life filled town streets and music and laughter filled Coronation Park as Pride took over Corby on Saturday June 22nd.
It was second year that Corby Town Council had organised the event with support from volunteers following the inaugural Pride in 2023.
Support for the days’ activities also came from The National Lottery Community Fund and a host of sponsors from in and around the town. The day began with a parade featuring hundreds of people and groups that made its way from the Cube to the Park expressing their Pride and allyship of and to the LGBT+ community.
A day of entertainment and community followed including two live stages, community stalls and vendors.
Cllr Callum Reilly, who heads the Town Council’s Pride Working Group said: “The response from everyone for the parade and the event has been fantastic. The work behind the scenes from Town Council officers and investment from local businesses has been so important. There were people young and old, families, Corby folk and people from further afield who all attended, which all made for a brilliant day.”
Sponsors of the event were the RS Group, Smurfit Kappa, The Bedford Group (Tresham College), Dyno-Rod and The National Education Union.
Special contributions came from the GMB Union and Stuart Charles Estate Agents.
