Simon Rielly was born in Corby and grew up in the Danesholme and Great Oakley area. He has been involved in different campaigns most recently working with the Northants road safety group in Great Oakley. Since graduating from Manchester University where he studied Business Management and from Chichester University where he studied Education his work has been primarily within the education sector. Enjoying a teaching career over the last 20 years, he had been an advocate for young people in the area. He is also a local businessman and over the years has served on community committees including the Kettering & Corby District Sports Association, Northamptonshire Executive Sports Committee and CHOA (Corby Hackney Owners Association) where he organised the delivery of free school meals to children during the pandemic. He has been involved in the organising and running of local sports teams and his playing career included time representing Corby Town Football Club.
