An appeal for donations to support refugees from Afghanistan and Corby's food bank has had an overwhelming response.

The initiative, coordinated by members of Corby Town Council, will support projects across the area including Corby Foodbank and local refugee charities. The collection took place from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th September.

At the full Town Council meeting on 9th August, councillors observed a minutes silence and paid tribute to Alderman George Crawley, who sadly passed away recently. Alderman Crawley was a long serving Labour councillor and leader of the council, and was later granted the honorary title of Alderman.
