Knife Angel arrival ceremony

Several members and officers attended the official launch of the Knife Angel along with the Corby Town Council Deputy Mayor this morning.Speakers included the leader of NNC council, the Safer Corby Team, C2C Social Action and Marvin from Lemon Pop. Corby Town Councillors were especially moved by the contribution from Esther Wright who spoke of how her life changed when her son was brutally taken away in a knife attack.Deputy Mayor, Leanne Buckingham said ,"I was pleased to attend the event this morning and thank all those who have contributed to it coming to Corby.There is a programme of events planned over the next two weeks, but I am especially looking forward to the "Lives B4 Knives" event which will be held at The Lab, Corby Cube on 21st May from 7pm to 10pm.
