Re-launch of popular Corby Restaurant
The Deputy Leader of Corby Town Council was honoured to be asked to cut the ribbon at the re-launch of a well-established family run Corby restaurant, the Royal Tandoori on Rockingham Road.
The restaurant has been an integral part of the town since 1979, and was initially a takeaway, set up by Miah Samir, and opened as a restaurant in 2006. Mr Samir's family, including sons Mohammed, Dilwar and Dilal Hussain and grand-daughter Taniah Hussain, oversee all operations at the restaurant, from cooking to front of house. Philip Capps is the restaurant manager.
Mohammed said "We have re-launched the restaurant today after a revamp, to create a more intimate and cosy customer eating experience. We have such a loyal customer base here in Corby, we are looking forward to them all returning to the restaurant and will be offering 20% of all table meals until 31st August".
Deputy Leader Cllr Martyn Reuby, who cut the ribbon with Miah Samir said "I am delighted to be here this evening to offer Corby Town Council's continued support to this popular restaurant on Rockingham Road. The family have done a wonderful job on the refit, the restaurant looks fantastic, and we look forward to seeing their continued success".
