SIMA is a National Branch within Unite the Union - Britain's largest union with over 1.4 million members. We represent managers, professionals, technical and admin roles within the manufacturing sector. SIMA have been representing its membership for almost 50 years and continues to adapt to the challenges our members experience in a 21st Century Workplace.
GMB Midland Region and Northants Branch is a trade union that represents all workers. Workers of different backgrounds face different and unfair challenges in the workplace - from unequal pay to bullying and harrassment.
That's why GMB members organise around equality: because unfair treatment because of gender, race, sexuality, young age and disability is wrong and must end. There are laws around equality at work but it takes trade union members taking action to make sure they're enforced. GMB organises members who belong to five equality groups or strands - what the law calls having a 'protected characteristic'. https://www.gmb.org.uk/region/midlands
Smurfit Kappa experience and expertise create new opportunities for our customers and we are constantly updating our pack design and innovations to provide the optimum choice and packaging supplies.
Almost all of the raw materials are sourced from our own paper mills, so consistency is always a key attribute of our products. Because those products are 100% renewable and produced sustainably, we help our customers reduce their environmental footprint.
Inclusion for Smurfit Kappa means providing a truly safe, inclusive environment where we all feel a sense of belonging and encouraged to be our authentic selves at work each day.
Diversity for Smurfit Kappa means appreciating and celebrating the diversity of our cultures, traditions, beliefs, ways of living and seeing the world and encouraging each other to share our different views and perspectives so we can learn from each other's lived experiences.
Equality for Smurfit Kappa means offering equal respect, support and opportunities to each other regardless of our ability, age, faith, gender, race, who we choose to love or identify as.
