Environmental Logo Competition for Schools
Corby Town Council's newly created Environment Committee recently ran a primary school competition to create an eye-catching logo with an environmental theme for the committee.
Three local schools took part in the competition, Corby Old Village, Our Lady of Walsingham and St Patricks primary schools. Entries were judged by the councillors on the committee to create a winner from each school, as well as an overall winner whose entry will be the logo.
All entries for the competition are currently on display at Corby Cube library, where the public can view the amazing work of our local children in developing a logo with an environmental theme.
Prizes for the winner from each school will be presented by the Environmental Committee chair, Cllr Alison Dalziel, with the overall winner being invited with their parents to the Spirit of Corby awards where the logo will be on display and a special prize presented. Cllr Dalziel said " We were delighted with the quality of entries from our primary school children, who are our next generation and who are our future custodians of the planet. We look forward to visiting the schools to present the individual prizes as well as showcasing the logo at the Spirit of Corby awards in November".
