Financial Information

The Precept is that element of your Council Tax that is paid to Corby Town Council.

Every year, the Town Council draws up budgets and calculates how much money it needs for the next Financial Year.

The Financial governance of the Town Council is governed by the following:

  • Corby Town Council Financial Regulations (amended and adopted based on National Association Local Council recommended template)
  • Local Government Transparency Code 2015

We publish information in line with these requirements.

Budget & Precept

The Precept is that element of your Council Tax that is paid to Corby Town Council.

Every year, the Town Council draws up budgets and calculates how much money it needs for the next Financial Year. Look out for reports to the Councils’ finance committee and Full Council during October-February each year to see how the budget for the next year is progressing.
